The bi-annual strip out!

Those that know me, know that I'm an animal lover and will do anything for them, especially my own.  When we bought a Cairn 6 years ago, I was determined to try and keep her coat as natural as I could.  NOTE....this is NOT for everyone.
It takes about an hour and a half of my day, if I was to do it straight and thankfully, I have a VERY patient dog :)  She had to be after having 7 pups right?!  So anyhow, basically this process consists of pulling out the dead hair.  No, it doesn't bother her at all.  It helps her keep from shedding, keep her skin and coat healthy and remove the "stink" of a normal dog.  This time I decided to take before, during and after pictures :)  I get a kick out of them!

So here is Chloe before her stripping...

And here is her a little over halfway done!  LOL  I told Doug she looked like one of those balding men that still have a ton of bushies just in the back of their head!

The pile so far...

The end pile!
(That is her collar)

Crazy how its even the same dog!  She always runs around like a lunatic and acts like she is 4 months old again whenever I do this!

I say this almost every time but I'm going to say it again...I wish I was smart enough to invent a dog eye "fixer", kinda like our red eye fix!

And because I have serious OCD issues, this was the pile of dirt that was at the bottom of the hair pile after I cleaned it up!  So I guess she is cleaner too!  LOL

Madalyn: "You are one of the best sisters I have ever had!"

Marissa: "Well, you are one of the cutest sisters I have ever had!"

Madalyn's imagination at work!

The girls picked up a bunch of the stick in the yard the other day.  Madalyn found a stick that she thought looked like a pterodactyl dinosaur.  She has been riding it all over the place since then!

Here is a video of her in action.  It shows her pterodactyl a little better.  Again...she is not liking the video camera these days!

Someone has the Sillies!!!

It took a bit to get this picture and video.
Madalyn does not like her "cuteness" to be photographed or videoed.  She gets all embarrassed.  She was the kid that cried when we sang "Happy Birthday" to her! So shhhhh, you saw NOTHING!

Gotta love Pinterest! :)

We had to have a project so Bunny Cars it was!  They turned out so cute!  The girls loved eating them to...I can't vouch for that because they just looked gross but the kids loved them!

It takes a lot of thought and concentration to make bunny cars!

She is such a squirtball!

Doug's handiwork

Mine!
(Not to be confused with "Grandma's" which I have no idea where those pictures are!!!)

Don't you love Marissa's helmet?

The girls did such a good job, and were so detailed!

Madalyn's car needs an alignment!  LOL

See how she made cool tires for hers?

Mine again....I added headlights!
Way to much fun!  I can't wait to see what we come up with next time!

Easter with Grandma and Grandpa Geiger

I kinda liked how this year we got to celebrate the REAL Easter on the day and then the week after we got to do all the fun stuff.  It kind of separated it and they were able to grasp things a little better I think.  Of course, the annual Easter Egg Hunt!
They are getting the rules from Grandpa....

They wanted to wear their Easter dresses again and I love their little painted toes :)

So grown up!

And they are off!

It's a little blurry but I love this action shot!

Thinking hard!

I love her facial expressions!

Up high...

Down low...

They are so cute!

Madalyn looks so big here!

I LOVE these next two pictures!

Cool DUDETTE!

More fun to come :)  Please stay tuned!
