Waiting...

I HATE WAITING!
Or at least waiting for a sign.  This whole Chloe pregnancy is killing me.  I really am just sick of staring at Chloe wondering...I know we have a confirmed litter and as Doug says she definitely acts a ton different, but where is the belly??? Its driving me bonkers! You have no idea how many times I have wanted to call the vets office and ask for an ultrasound!

Its beautiful out!

Where is Madalyn?

Hiding from Mommy

Madalyn hiding from Marissa

Madalyn's 3rd birthday (a little late)

On the 19th of May, Madalyn turned 3.  I seriously can not believe it.  My girls are growing up soo fast! Madalyn is so different from her sister.  She is my girly girl.  She changes her clothes at least once during the day.  She like her hair done pretty in pony tails and such and loves to wear bracelets.  She walks better in high heels than I do!  She is also a major copy cat.  If Marissa wants something you can guarantee that Madalyn wants the same thing.  If Marissa wants to go somewhere, you can bet that Madalyn does too!  LOL  Make life simple for right now!

Madalyn...

My baby girl is 3 today!  I can't believe it!  Grandma Geiger, my mom, is coming down with a cake.  The girls friend Grace is coming, and Grandma and Grandpa Benedict and Aunt Laurie are coming down for lunch and cake.  Its Doug's milking week so its easier to  accommodate everyone at lunch time.  I'll post picture tomorrow!  Hope you have a great day!

Grocery Shopping Continued....

Today's trip got a little bit better when I realized I had a baby shower to go to on Saturday.  That means I got to buy baby girl stuff!  Can't wait to satisfy my baby void!

Grocery Shopping....

It's that day of the week again.  Does anyone love to grocery shop?  I hate to shop in general...however food shopping is the WORST!  I know its a necessary evil...but that doesn't help me want to go.  You know how some people hire maids to clean their houses?  Well I would totally hire a shopper...is there such a thing?  LOL  Oh well, it has to be done.  What do you all have in store for today?

Waiting on the Lord...

I'm a super patient person, ya know...go with the flow, nothing ruffles my feathers, ready for anything...
Ok, maybe not.
I'm the planning type.  I like to know what the future holds, where we are going and what exactly is going to happen.  Obviously this is far from the real world.  Definitely far from our lives.  Currently we are living day to day, wondering what the next step is.  Its a tough place for us to be...especially with our personalities.  Wanna know something awesome?  God knows all about it.  Sunday we had a special speaker at church.  He didn't know who we were or that we are farmers in a dying industry.  He didn't know our personalities, daily struggles or future goals.  Yet the whole message was on taking things one step at a time and trusting God for every step.  It was great.  He hit home.  I love Sundays like that!  I may not know what tomorrow will bring, but I WILL trust God to do what is best for us and our future.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

I love my family!

Build-A-Bear!

Have any of you ever been to Build- A- Bear?  I have always wanted to go, but haven't.  Doug's Mom "claimed" the chance to take Marissa there when she was 1 and then Madalyn too after she was born.  Of course we needed to wait till they were old enough to enjoy the experience.  This year was it!  We did both the girls at the same time since their birthday is so close and the trip to the nearest site is 2 hours away.  I really had no clue what to expect.  We got their and the girls picked out their empty animals.  Madalyn didn't understand and she wanted to pick the stuffed display item.  Finally convinced her that she was going to be able to fill it herself and she chose one.  Next they moved to the stuffing machine.  They stood on a peddle and the stuffing was put in the animal they chose.  They got to pick a heart to put in their animal.  They had rub it in their hands to get it warm, jump up and down to get it beating, and kiss it to fill it with love.  They did every step as instructed.  I was kinda shocked!  Then they moved to the bathtub section.  They had to give their animal a "bath".  Again, stood on a peddle, and forced air blew on their new friends as they brushed out all the loose fur and stuffing.  They thought that was pretty cool and was probably their favorite part.  On to the dressing room!  There was soooo much to choose from.  Tops, bottoms, dresses, hats, shoes, purses, ipods, underwear....it seemed to never end.  Of course each item is individually priced so we had to set a limit.  LOL  The girls seriously had a blast as did Mom, Laurie and myself.  I wish I would have taken my camera for the act of building it but it never even crossed my mind.  Here are some pictures of what they came up with though.
Marissa's puppy that she named "Marissa"

Madalyn's bunny that she named "Lucy"

Marissa...

On Tuesday this past week, Marissa turned 5.  I can't believe that my little girl is 5.  She is so grown up though.  She informed me that now that she is 5, she will let me know when she is tired and will go to bed on her own.  She also won't be coming into our bed anymore in the middle of the night, because she is 5 now and that means she isn't a baby anymore.  LOL  So far though she has been in bed fairly early and hasn't made a trip into our bedroom.  I'll take it!  I thought we were going to be adding to our zoo this year.  All Marissa wanted for her Birthday was a bunny.  I was kind of dreading it, mainly because we are uncertain if we are staying on the farm, and have no idea what job placement has in the near future for us.  We have enough that we would be moving with as it is, let alone add to bunnies to the mix!  About two weeks before her birthday, she started begging for baby stuff.  We can do that!
All grown up starting with the card first!
The crib is from Grandma and Grandpa Geiger and the doll is from us.
"Cheese!"
She wanted a diaper bag and all the accessories.
Playing with the shoes!
Marissa's other birthday request was that Grace could come over and spend the night.  It was both Marissa's and Grace's first sleepover.  All three of them had a blast!

Waiting on lunch...
Cake time! (Grandma Geiger made the cake)
Best Friends
 Love this picture
Grandma Geiger's version of kid's size pieces!
Cuddle time
Watching a short movie before bed
 Night time snack...CHEESE!
I told them to close their eyes and go to sleep...
 ...Then Grace starts snoring!  LOL

I thought it was going to be a night of no sleep, but by 9:30 they were all out.  I didn't hear any noises until 7am the next morning.  They did really good!  Madalyn has already "claimed" Grace for her birthday in a couple weeks!  LOL  I think the three of them are going to grow up being pretty special friends!
