A big day!

Last Saturday was a big day for the girls!  Marissa had an appointment in Utica in the morning and then they both decided a week or so before that they wanted to get their ears pierced.   I honestly thought they were going to back out before the time came, but they stuck to it.  Even with everyone telling them how much it hurt, they should wear red shirts so the blood wouldn't stain their clothes....Yea nice huh!

Marissa went first!

First one done, and she never even flinched!

So proud! :)

She loves them.  She chose little crosses...you can't really see them very well but they are really cute!

Madalyn did really well.  She was scared, but still wanted to go through with it.  She cried just a little bit.  She didn't want her pictures taken then....so about a half hour later, she told me she was ready and I got a picture of her then ;)

They both love them and are very good at remembering to remind me when its time to clean them.  They twist their own earrings so I don't have to worry about that part.
Then we went shopping to spend their birthday money.  While we were at Toys R Us, Geoffrey came walking around the corner.  That made the girls' day but Madalyn's day especially special!!!

Father's Day Morning...

Father's Day Morning, the girls woke up and ran to the bedroom with their goodies for Daddy.  I was really impressed with them this year and the fact that they remembered all on their own!

Each of the girls made Daddy a tie in "Kings Kids" and then they also made him a clay creation.

Here is Madalyn's creation....Can you tell what it is?
It's a Christmas Tree because Christmas is Doug's favorite holiday :)

And here is Marissa's...
They are the best little girls ever!

Our little friend....

During our last week of rain showers, I went out to let Chloe in and happened to spot this little guy walking across the driveway.  We don't live next to a creek or woods, so it seemed to me that he was very out of place.  However, he was super cute and I really had to hold back as the kids were begging me to let them keep him!  He was just way to cool!

The girls sat and watched him for a good half hour before he made his way into our bushes and went into hiding!  Hopefully he plans on sticking around, it will be fun to see him every once in a while!

Happy Father's Day Daddy :)

I don't even know where to begin.  My Dad is amazing!  He is kind, compassionate, understanding, level headed, full of little tidbits of information you never thought you would need to know, an amazing husband and grandpa (Bompa), and the best Dad!  I wish we could all be there today with you Dad to celebrate how amazing you are, but you'll have to wait for your hug and kiss for another week!  Thank you for all you mean to me and for all you have done.
I'm truly blessed...actually we all are!!!

I LOVE you!

Bridal Shower Next :)

With the baby shower out of the way, I just had one more shower to do before I could breathe easy :)  Doug's sister is getting married next month and so the groom's sister, my friend, and the twin's mother (all the same person ;) put together our heads and planned Laurie a bridal shower!

Beth's handiwork!  They turned out sooo cute!

The little helper!

So pretty!

 The most important table!

The guests....Poor Agnes, in the peach, didn't want to leave, she was having too much fun!

Gift time...keepin' it classy!

The infamous paper plate hat!

This one is the best!

Mrs. Jenkins' masterpiece!  It turned out so nice and tasted soooo yummy!

We brought home the leftovers....however, before Kenny got any, he had to wear the plate hat too!  He wasn't happy about it, but he did give in!

Now that the weight has been removed and both showers went well, I can breathe easier :)
I'm definitely not a party planner!

Playing

I'm so thankful how well these 4 kiddos get along!
Even when the girls put them in the pack n play, the twins slide with it! ;)

See, they don't look too traumatized!

Then Madalyn used her imagination again....Can you tell what kind of species she is?

She is a SPIDER!  LOL

I love my kiddos and my borrowed ones too! :)

Baby Shower part 2!

I tried to find a fun game to play that everyone would enjoy!  So I chose "The Diaper Game"!
It was a hit I would say.  We just took 10 candy bars (everyone must be different and some unique ones add some difficulty to the game), 10 diapers and a sharpie marker.  You have to mark the diapers first from 1-10.  Then you melt a candy bar in the diaper.  Make sure you make an answer sheet so that you know what was in each one!  Then let the fun begin!
Sarah had the best face!  It looked like real poop LOL!

Amelia shot her Grandma an aweful look when she opened and smelled the first diaper!  I think she thought it was a real diaper and she was very confused!  But, of course, I missed it!  This one is a good one though too :)

I loved watching Grandma with the kids.  She loves them so much!  She spent a good share of the time on the floor, playing cars or something with them.

I'm so blessed to be able to call her MY Grandma!

BEST picture of the whole weekend!

Madalyn was telling Grandma some kind of a story...

Douglas being a goofball :)  I love him!

Attempting the "River Dance" in insulated coveralls, a skin hat, in an 80 degree kitchen!

You can't have a baby shower without pictures of the Mommy and Baby!

Both Mommies!  Mary is also expecting :)

The 3 Mommies?

LOL  He is such a good sport!

We can't wait to meet you next month sometime Daniel Joseph!  We love you already!
