Quality time with some cousins :)

We got the chance to head out to my old stomping grounds to spend some time with family and friends that we don't get to see very much.  Thursday we spent the day with my grandparents.  We had an AWESOME visit.  But of course, I didn't remember my camera.  We got to spend pretty much the whole day with them...lunch, lots of talks, and laughs, odd jobs, and dinner.  I really felt like we got to spend some quality time this time with them.  The kids had a blast and Marissa really took to Grandpa.  What an awesome day.  I love my grandparents and am so thankful that we got that time with them.  I know we all have to grow up and move on, but I miss being down the road from them and going to visit them whenever I want to.
From there we went to my cousins' house, where we parked the camper.  They were so sweet and kept an eye on the dogs for us while we spent the day at Grandpa and Grandma's.  They made this trip so easy and made us feel right at home.  They also hosted a bunch of family at their house so we could see more of my Dad's side of the family than we usually have time for when we go "home".  Friday morning we went strawberry picking.  Boy did the kids ever have fun!  Ok, we all did, including the guys who ended up leaving with a few stains on their shirts from throwing rotten berries at each other.

We detoured for a swimming trip before heading back to Mary and Isaacs, but I'll save that portion for a post of its own.  Friday night Mary and Isaac hosted a bonfire at their place for a bunch of my cousins and Aunts/Uncles.  We had so much fun!  The girls were so overwhelmed getting to meet so many cousins that they really didn't know.  Madalyn really took to my cousin's little girl Amelia.  There were best buds and where one girl was, the other wasn't far behind!

So cute!  Madalyn woke up the next morning and the first thing she said was, "Is my cousin Amelia coming back today?"  Can't wait to get them together again!

Mary was all prepared with fun stuff for the kids.  She had poppers that you throw on the ground and they pop, glow bracelets, and s'mores!  The kids were in their glory :)

What an awesome night!
