Last week the girls joined their first 4H club. It's composed mostly of homeschooling families, which makes it nice for us since most of the activities are during the weekday, so we still have our weekends with Daddy :)
Our club is called "Shooting Stars"
They had a meeting last month that was the first meeting of the season, but we couldn't make it so this was our first meeting.
We met at Wetstone Gulf State Park.
We were instructed to bring personal lunches, a camera, boots, a towel and a change of clothes.
Thankfully most of those items we didn't need, but I brought them all JUST IN CASE :) You never know what is going to happen when you take 4 kids 7 and under to a place with water running and wet leaves. LOL We got there on time which was a huge accomplishment and ate lunch together. Quite a few families showed up and Marissa and Madalyn's two best buds, Elaina and Taylor were there so they were pleased as punch.
I had our two extra kiddos in tow as well and they seemed to enjoy themselves so much. Lucas was talking up a storm with the other kids and loved playing on the playground, while Josiah walked everywhere and was so tired by the time we got home!
Ok, so onto our assignment.
The girls had to take pictures. First they learned about the different types of photographs. They learned about landscape photos, portraits, and action photos.
The girls LOVE taking pictures so this was right up their ally. My friend Beth Hand and Jessica Moore were there. We kinda stuck together, because our girls were together :) We tried to let them come up with ideas and boy did they have some good ones! They all did so good. Here are some photos from the day that I took.
(I put in most of them, because some are just plain comical!)
