9/11 May we NEVER forget!

11 years ago today, our freedom was jeopardized.  11 years ago today, policemen, firefighters, dogs, and volunteers risked their lives.  11 years ago today, 2996 people died (2977 victims and 19 hijackers).

In the World Trade Center and near it, there were 2606 people that died, including:
-1762 residents of New York
-1404 persons in Tower 1
-674 residents of New Jersey
-658 employees of Cantor Fitzgerald L.P.
-614 persons in Tower 2
-355 employees of Marsh Inc.
-343 firefighters
-175 employees of Aon Corporation
-37 Port Authority police officers
-23 police officers
-2 paramedics
-1 firefighter who was killed by a man who jumped off the top floors

On the airplanes there were 246 members of the crew and passengers.  All these people died.
-87 on American Airlines Flight 11
-60 on United Airlines Flight 175
-59 on American Airlines Flight 77
-40 on United Flight 93

During the attack on the Pentagon, 125 military personnel and civilians died.

A couple weekends ago, we were at the State Fair and there was a both with two chiefs from two of the departments in NY city.  They were both there that day and lost many men from their companies.  The two of them got together and wrote a book.  They are now retired and are going around spreading the word to young people about what happened that day because apparently there are plenty of schools out there that are NOT teaching this as history.
Seriously????
I have heard so many theories about what happened that day...we hijacked our own planes and flew them into our own towers, its all politics...blah blah blah.
Now I may not be a huge fan of our current president, but I do know that a country that doesn't stand together will not stand at all.  Immediately after 9/11, people flocked to local churches and turned to the Lord for help in getting through that tragedy.  However 11 years later, I feel that most people have forgotten, not only the tragedy that occurred, but the lives that were lost, the freedoms that were given up, and God which seemed so close to everyone September 11th, 2001.
This year I think we need to go back to that day and remember.  Remember all that was lost!

Here is a great video documentary that we purchased a couple years ago off Amazon.  It's worth the money to watch.

My brother is currently serving in the United States Marine Cor. and he put it the best.
"11 years.  Are you sorry yet?"
