Christmas Morning

Christmas morning is so much fun, although the girls are not totally into it yet and slept till 8 am!  I on the other hand was up at 6 am with Doug, since he still had to go feed heifers.  Things were a little nuts at the barn and we ended up not opening presents till 11 am.  I don't think the girls asked once if it was time to open gifts now, even though they were all under the tree already.  We had to coach Madalyn to get started and then she got the hang of it.  Marissa had to finish opening her gifts towards the end because she was getting sick of it.  All in all we had a great morning!
Our tree all stuffed

I never knew bedding could be such a hit!

The best present ever!

Marissa very curious as to what toy Daddy got!

My Little Pony is definitely a big hit in this house with both kids now!

Ready for bed!

This year Marissa really wanted to give Daddy and Mommy a present just from her.  So we decided that we would each take her shopping individually and let her pick out something, within reason, and let her wrap it and give it to us.  She was absolutely tickled, waiting patiently for Daddy to open his!

Mommy's turn to open Marissa's gift
Really funny thing is, she picked the same gift for both of us!  She is too cute!  Next year we are going to keep the same tradition of giving, but instead of giving to Mommy and Daddy we are going to have the girls exchange a gift.  We figure Madalyn will be big enough to understand that next year.

Marissa made this for us in Sunday School!  Its so cute!

Annual Christmas Party!

Every year we have a Christmas part, which started out being held at Doug's mom's house.  Since we have moved here and had Marissa, it moved to our house so that we could put the kids to bed when they needed it and Doug and I were not forced to go home!  Works out great.  This year was a quieter year, but that wasn't a bad thing and definitely didn't stop us all from having a lot of fun!  The girls got along great with their buddy Grace and we spent a good share of the night laughing that the three of them.  Here are some pictures of that night...ENJOY!

Professional Pictures by Alicia Gwozdz

I think most of you got our Christmas card this year with our family shot, but there were alot more pictures taken the same time as that photo.  I figured I would share the rest of them with you.  Our good friend from Morrisville drove down from MA for the day just to take our pictures.  We are very grateful for the work she put into them and LOVE how well they turned out!

Gotta love that look!
