Marissa...

On Tuesday this past week, Marissa turned 5.  I can't believe that my little girl is 5.  She is so grown up though.  She informed me that now that she is 5, she will let me know when she is tired and will go to bed on her own.  She also won't be coming into our bed anymore in the middle of the night, because she is 5 now and that means she isn't a baby anymore.  LOL  So far though she has been in bed fairly early and hasn't made a trip into our bedroom.  I'll take it!  I thought we were going to be adding to our zoo this year.  All Marissa wanted for her Birthday was a bunny.  I was kind of dreading it, mainly because we are uncertain if we are staying on the farm, and have no idea what job placement has in the near future for us.  We have enough that we would be moving with as it is, let alone add to bunnies to the mix!  About two weeks before her birthday, she started begging for baby stuff.  We can do that!
All grown up starting with the card first!
The crib is from Grandma and Grandpa Geiger and the doll is from us.
"Cheese!"
She wanted a diaper bag and all the accessories.
Playing with the shoes!
Marissa's other birthday request was that Grace could come over and spend the night.  It was both Marissa's and Grace's first sleepover.  All three of them had a blast!

Waiting on lunch...
Cake time! (Grandma Geiger made the cake)
Best Friends
 Love this picture
Grandma Geiger's version of kid's size pieces!
Cuddle time
Watching a short movie before bed
 Night time snack...CHEESE!
I told them to close their eyes and go to sleep...
 ...Then Grace starts snoring!  LOL

I thought it was going to be a night of no sleep, but by 9:30 they were all out.  I didn't hear any noises until 7am the next morning.  They did really good!  Madalyn has already "claimed" Grace for her birthday in a couple weeks!  LOL  I think the three of them are going to grow up being pretty special friends!

Come on, everyone is doing it!

Before I start, I have pictures and a post on Marissa's 5th birthday coming tomorrow.  Doug is using the laptop tonight and all the pictures are on that.
Anyhow... Thought I would put a note out there that we now have a blog for the coming puppies.  Everyone is joining, so I thought you all might want to to!  Ok maybe not everyone...Ok NO ONE is joining, but I still thought some might be curious and want to!  LOL If you want to, you can find it here.  There hasn't been a ton to post as of yet, but its coming!

Who knew

Madalyn while watching American Idol tonight comes out with this...
"He is gorgeous!  And he is a great singer too!"
Who knew that girls at age 2 came out with stuff like that!

Wahoo!

I won something!  I'm so excited you have no idea!  Jessica at Welcome to the Zoo was doing a cloth diaper give away.  I figured what the heck, I'll give it a shot!  And what do ya know...I actually won.  (Have you gotten the hint yet that I'm a little pumped by this?)  The diaper is coming from GAD company. Their diapers are so cute and have awesome reviews!  I even got to pick out the diaper I wanted.  Here it is..
Even though its the end of April and its snowing in NY today, I'm on a high that I can't be brought down from!  Hope you all have an awesome day!

So...

Aunt Liz's visit....I honestly planned on taking pictures of our visit and posting them.  Honest.  However, I think that all went out the window when she got here.  We spent so much time talking, the camera never left the computer desk.  I know, I know, you can shoot me later!  Liz, however did take a few so I stole them from her!  Sorry but I guess these have to do!
Although this picture doesn't show it very well, this calf is sooo tiny!  The vest she is wearing is a Men's size medium.  I usually have to carry the calves from the dry cow barn to the heifer barn.  Most of them are about 100 lbs or so.  She was probably about 80.  Just so petite.  For obvious reasons it was nice when I walked in the dry cow barn and see one that tiny!
Dirty kids...
But at least they are happy kids!

Marissa: "You know what I want to be when I grow up?"
Mommy: "No I don't."
Marissa:  "I want to be a bosser!"

A Busy Weekend

It's Monday!
Whew...we had a very busy weekend.  Definitely had a ton of fun though!  Aunt Liz showed up on Thursday around 4pm.  The girls met her at the car just about screaming.  LOL  Even though the weather was crappy and we didn't get to fit in a trip to the Zoo or the Park or anything like that, we pretty much didn't stop moving (or talking).  It was great having another adult in the house that I get along so well with to chit chat with.  We had Pizza night with Doug's parents and sister on Friday.  Soo yummy!  Saturday Jonathan showed up to visit for a bit.  The girls were all over him...they love their Uncle Jonathan.  Sunday we headed to church for Sunday School and then ran back out the door.  We had to be in Brasher Falls by 1:30pm.  My sister-in-law's baby shower was at 2.  We had alot of fun and it was great to see her.  I got a hug from Caleb and that meant alot.  I can't wait to meet my new nephew!  We headed for home around 6:30pm and were home by 9.  Liz left this morning early.  We were all sad to see her go, but it won't be too long before we see her again.  Can't wait!  Now to start a regular routine again...

Aunt Liz...

"Aunt Liz" comes today.  The countdown has been going on for about a week now.  Every morning we get woke up with "X amount of days till Aunt Liz comes!"  HAHA  She will be here till Monday morning.  I can't wait to spend some time with my soon to be sister!  I'm sure I'll have more pictures to follow the visit!

Happy Easter!

"Because He lives I can face tomorrow. Because He lives, all fear is gone. Because I know, He holds the future and life is worth the living just because He lives!"
Grandma and Grandpa Geiger took the girls shopping for Easter this year.  They gave them free reign to pick out what type they wanted.  Marissa shocked me.  She is not my girly girl.  I thought she would pick a really simple dress.  Neither of the girls are feeling 100%, so I took fast pictures.  I'll take more professional type pictures in a couple days...hopefully outside if the weather continues to cooperate!  Here are some to get you by for now.

I LOVE these shoes!

And this is what happens when you have to be so beautiful all day!
